Trendsets in White Satin Flare Midi Skirt

There are different types of skirts. Skirts also come in different lengths. When to wear a skirt is totally dependent on its fabric and length. There is a reason you can’t wear a miniskirt to the office. You also can’t wear your super formal office skirt to a pub on a Sunday afternoon.

Camilla Coelho sets the trend when it comes to dressing up for an occasion.

She arrived at the Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Spring Summer 2019 dressed in a three-tone jacket; a blue jumper; elegantly tucked in the white Satin flare midi skirt. She completed her look with designer narrow mid calf boots; designer white leather bag with top handle; sleek rectangular glasses matching the yellow on the jacket and a big buckle belt.

What draws us to her look even more is her three tone jacket. Many closets have the ordinary grey, black or navy blue jackets for cold seasons but her three tone jacket is everything a woman needs to shield her from cold. Who knew tucking a loose fitting jacket in a skirt would look so edgy? And how the jacket’s collar drops off her shoulder exposing the royal blue jumper? She is definitely not your ordinary girl.

How to Style a White Satin Midi Skirt

Midi, meaning mid calf. This skirt is also known as the tea-length skirt, given its conservative length which makes it ideal for formal occasions.

Of late, women prefer their midi skirts having an overlay of sheer which gives a see-through effect to a shorter half-slip inside the skirt.

But, seeing Camilla look so elegant in her white midi skirt, you might as well style it even better than the trend she set with her look.

So, on to how to style a midi skirt:

  • You can pair your midi skirt with loose, fitted or crop tops. Make sure the top doesn’t hang by tucking it into the skirt’s waistband. To keep the tucked top in place, you can add a big buckled belt to complete the look.
  • Where your midi skirt with high heels to give it an active look. Wearing such a skirt with flats gives off lazy vibes. If you are tall you can wear 2-inch heel boots or pumps, but, if you have a petite frame, go all the way in with 4 or 5-inch heels.

Yep! Now you have it. If you have a flare midi skirt lurking in some dark corner of your wardrobe, dust and style it with the tips herein.
